Thomas Robichaud, a pedophile who has raped and molested boys as young as four dating back nearly three decades, had no intention of obeying conditions imposed on his freedom. Robichaud was released from prison in January 2018 but he was back behind bars just eight weeks later. Authorities feared Robichaud wouldn’t obey the rules. A document acquired by Cancrime (read it after the jump) describes him, before release, as “a high risk to re-offend against children” with low “reintegration potential and accountability” and demonstrating “a disregard for court ordered conditions.” Doctors believe he is so dangerous that he should take sex-drive reducing drugs to prevent him from attacking children.
John Gallienne (inset), a pedophile who exploited his trusted position as choirmaster and organist at Anglican churches across Canada to prey on young boys sexually, has been charged again with abuse committed decades ago. Now 71, Gallienne is charged with three counts of indecent assault on a boy in Kingston, Ontario between 1975 and 1978, when the victim was 10 to 12 years old, according to this story by reporter Sue Yanagisawa. It’s not surprising that another victim has come forward now, years later, and more charges have been filed. Gallienne has been affiliated with at least four churches across Canada, including Ottawa and Victoria, B.C. Past convictions have established that he was an insatiable predator with many victims. It is possible that there remain hundreds of victims who have never reported the abuse to police. Several of his Ontario victims committed suicide. There is no statute of limitations in Canada for reporting sexual assault and national surveys suggest most abuse is never reported to police.
Pedophile James Alfred Cooper (inset) knew that he was being watched closely while he was out of prison on early release. Yet he still schemed to procure children while he was free in 2014. The depth of Cooper’s deviousness is detailed in the internal parole records (read them after the jump) of the Ontario man who tortured and raped children. Cooper was convicted only of 16 crimes involving six children over a span of 17 years but it is likely there are other victims. Most predatory pedophiles do not abuse just a handful of victims. The six victims for whom convictions were registered were aged seven to 14 at the time of the abuse that included whippings and beatings and forced sex including intercourse. Five of them, four girls and one boy, were his stepchildren from two of his marriages. One was a neighbour’s daughter.
Child molester Gary Walker (inset) has languished behind bars for nearly one third his 71 years, tormented by his desire for sex with young boys. The septuagenarian has never had a sexual relationship with an adult. He has confounded keepers. Despite undergoing a battery of treatment programs to root out his sexual deviance, experts say he grapples still with “intrusive sexual thoughts” and remains a “significant risk” to molest more young boys if he is released.
UPDATED JAN. 14 Kingston Police announced early this morning that Davidson-Brown had left Kingston. They didn’t say where he was headed.
The case of child sex predator Eric William Davidson-Brown (inset) drew a torrent of attention on my social media channels. Since I posted his photo and the details announced by police of his release to Kingston, Ontario, the post has been shared more than 3,000 times and, by late on January 13, had drawn nearly 200 comments. I was surprised since Davidson-Brown isn’t really an unusual case. There are hundreds similar ex-convicts living on the street in Canadian communities every day.
John Gallienne (inset), a relentless pedophile and former organist and choirmaster at an Anglican Church in Kingston, Ontario, has been given house arrest for his third set of convictions for sexually abusing young boys in his charge. Gallienne pleaded guilty in a Kingston courtroom Monday, June 6, to sex attacks decades ago on two former choirboys. He was first prosecuted for a 15-year campaign of sexual terror in 1990. Gallienne was convicted of abusing more than a dozen young boys, as young as eight. The latest charges were laid after former choirboys who did not come forward in 1990 went to police. The new convictions mean he’ll be stripped of a pardon he had obtained.
Now we know why Richard Charles Joyce (inset), a 44-year-old imprisoned killer, cowered behind his coat collar last Friday as he was led from a prison escort van into a courthouse in Kingston, Ontario. Joyce, who is serving a life sentence for first-degree murder, is no longer a standup guy, no longer just a lifer in the prison subculture. Now, he’s the lowest of the low in the pecking order, a reviled child molester.
Police allege that a man who entertained children in the Kingston and Napanee areas in eastern Ontario for 20 years has been preying on “very young” victims. Provincial police have charged Randy Edward Miller, 40, with sexual assault and sexual interference in connection with the abuse of a young boy. Miller has worked as a clown at festivals, fairs and private parties and he has volunteered with Boy Scouts in Napanee.
